The Environment Agency has visited waste sites in Scunthorpe and Essex to mark baled waste with SelectaDNA Trace to prevent it being moved on illegally to somewhere it shouldn’t go.
Waste site operators are being warned that the agency is using DNA marking to track waste, a tactic which has been successful in other parts of the country to stop illegal movement of waste.
